KYLE
SANTORO
Kyle Santoro is a filmmaker who believes that every human being carries a story worth telling, and he believes film has the power to bring those stories to life.
Born and raised between cities across two continents, San Francisco, California and Taipei, Taiwan, Kyle Santoro sees and embodies two completely different worlds – one in English, the other in Chinese. Kyle uses filmmaking to tie together “worlds” that often do not cross, creating an emotional experience that viewers can feel in his stories. “I see things neither side sees,” he observes. “Both sides really do not cross that often, but I do cross because I grew up in Taiwan and the US. And that's what I want to share with the world — these fascinating insider stories.”
Kyle's passion for filmmaking ignited in July 2021 at 15 years old when he filmed a 2-minute short about the homeless on the back streets and hidden alleys of San Francisco. From then on, he has worked on 85+ projects, for over 50+ clients, from Nike Soccer Camps, NCAA, NFL, and MLS athletes to government agencies and non-profits to capture and craft PSA campaigns – many with a social justice spin.
In May of 2023, he began a year-long process to develop his first feature documentary film, Fentanyl High, exploring the complex landscape of the Fentanyl epidemic and the sincere, vulnerable perspectives of self-medication and social, cultural identification from the teenage point of view.
Fentanyl High premiered in theatres on December 6, 2023, and the film has since had over 100 public film screenings in 24 states across the United States in collaboration with over 60 collaborating partners, including educational institutions, government agencies, treatment facilities, and non-profits that specialize in teenage mental health and overdose prevention. In February 2026, Kyle was invited to give a keynote speech presentation on Fentanyl High at NIH's National Institute of Drug Abuse for their annual awards ceremony.
As a whole, Kyle's work resists easy categorization. He moves fluidly between documentary and narrative styles, between the raw textures of vulnerability and the precise grammar of composed drama. What unifies everything he makes is an almost obsessive focus on the space and conflict between people of different cultural backgrounds. Currently a junior at The Ohio State University where he is studying English and Sociology, Kyle hopes to apply his studies to his process of writing and crafting engaging and impactful narratives.
Whether a feature documentary, a narrative film, or a brand story, LC2 Productions ensures a high-quality story that strives to connect with its audience on a genuinely human level.
“Learning and crafting are the two things that have been constant in my life, and a camera allows me to combine both into something organically new on each project”.
